Join Valley neighbors every 4th Thursday for the ScSeed Crestone monthly meeting: the next community hour at Sage’s Hearth is scheduled for July 23 at noon. We had a great turnout and discussion on June 25, our inaugural ScSeed monthly meeting. Topics discussed included backyard gardens, local resilience, and practical ways to strengthen food security and self-sufficiency.
Not in the area? There are meetings the first 4 Thursdays of each month: first is in Center at the Town Annex; second in Saguache at the Cozy Castle Cinema; third in Moffat at Grammy’s Kitchen. Each has a unique topic where attendees can gather, learn, and engage with the people and ideas helping shape the future of our region.
Everyone is welcome at Community Hour, whether you’re a longtime Valley resident, new to the area, or simply interested in connecting with neighbors. These informal gatherings explore topics such as gardening, food security, local agriculture, water conservation, resilience, and community projects. Each meeting offers an opportunity to share ideas, learn from others, and help strengthen the San Luis Valley. There is no cost to attend—just bring your curiosity, your questions, and your desire to build a stronger local community.
